Last week we had the privilege of visiting two patients who are part of the nutrition program, they are originally from remote communities in Uspatan Quiche Guatemala. During our visit, we weight them and measure them, and provided their formula. We also remind them to take good care of their babies to have a succeed growth to be ready for their surgery. We also prayed with the parents and we gave thank God for the good health of these babies.
For which we are very grateful to God and our friends from Sharing the Journey international for their support of this beautiful program.

La semana pasada tuvimos el privilegio de visitar a dos pacientes que forman parte del programa de nutrición, ellos son originarios de comunidades remotas de Uspatan, Quiche. Durante la visita se chequeo su peso y talla, y se les proporciono la formula correspondiente. También se hizo un recordatorio a las madres de los cuidados especiales que los bebes necesitan para tener éxito en su crecimiento, con el objetivo de preprarlos para su cirugía y así puedan llevar una vida normal. Oramos con los padres y le dimos gracias a Dios porque los niños se encuentran muy bien de salud.
Por lo que estamos muy agradecidos con Dios y nuestros hermanos Sharing the Journey international por su apoyo a este lindo programa.

With so much joy in our hearts we want thank God and each one of you who has been supporting this ministry, with your support we are being able to expand the scholarship program.
After several days of coordination, today we are welcoming the new group of young people from different remote communities who will be part of the scholarship program.
We as organization are very bless to be part of their academic training, since our desire is to empower and train them, so then they can be leaders with the desire to develop their community and glorify God.

The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8)

Con tanta alegría en nuestro corazón queremos compartirles que gracias a Dios y al apoyo que brindan para este ministerio, logramos expandir el programa de becas.
Después de varios días de coordinación, el día de hoy le dimos la bienvenida a jóvenes de diferentes comunidades que con mucho entusiasmo han asistido a su primer día de clases.
Nos sentimos felices de ser parte de su formación académica, ya que nuestro deseo es empoderar y capacitar a jóvenes con anhelo de superación, para que ellos puedan ser lideres que glorifiquen a Dios y promuevan el desarrollo en su comunidad.

El Señor dice: Yo te instruiré, yo te mostraré el camino que debes seguir; yo te daré consejos y velaré por ti. (Salmo 32:8)

One of the remote communities of San Cristóbal Verapaz is Santa Ana, where Donal a nine years old lives, this child will be part of the scholarship program. Our goal with Donal is to support him to achieve his academic dreams and empower him for a better life. Last week we had a great time with Donal`s adoptive family, with whom we had the privilege of praying together and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

We are very grateful to God and to each one of you who in some way have supported this ministry.

Una de las comunidades remotas de San Cristobal Verapaz es Santa Ana, donde reside Donal, un niño de nueve años de edad quien formara parte del programa de becas. Nuestra meta con Donal es apoyarlo a cumplir sus sueños académicos y empoderarlo para un mejor nivel de vida.

La semana pasada tuvimos un momento alegre con Donal y con su familia adoptiva, con quienes tuvimos el privilegio de orar juntos y compartir el amor de Jesus.
Estamos muy agradecidos con Dios y con cada uno de ustedes quien de alguna forma apoya a este ministerio

One in every 1000 children is born with a cleft li

One in every 1000 children is born with a cleft lip and palate in Guatemala, the congenital malformation prevents them from growing and developing properly, it is necessary to take very special care of this infants including use of formula, special nipples and feeding tools.

This morning we had a visite of Bernabe one of the children who during six months has been part of our nutrition program.

Thank you very much Sharing The Journey for your support for this beautiful program that has been a blessing to many children in Guatemala.

Uno de cada mil niños nace con labio leporino y paladar hendido en Guatemala, esta malformación congénita les impide desarrollarse adecuadamente, por lo que es necesario tomar un cuidado muy especial, y auxiliarse con formula ya que ellos no pueden amamantarse.

Esta mañana nos visito Bernabe, uno de los niños que por seis meses ha sido parte de nuestro programa de nutrición.

Muchas gracias Sharing The Journey por su apoyo a este lindo programa que esta beneficiando a muchos niños de nuestro país.

We are very thankful with God, because every day we are advancing with the surgical center. This project will be blessings to many Families in need from the remote communities from Guatemala. During the last 6 months we have been progressing with the authorizations for construction, planning, dirt movement, retaining walls, perimeter walls, and a water tank, among other things. At the beginning of this year, thank God, we will start with the main construction.
We appreciate your prayers for this project.

Estamos muy agradecidos con Dios ya que Cada día estamos avanzando con lo que será el centro medico quirúrgico, que beneficiara a muchos guatemaltecos con su salud. Durante los últimos 6 meses del año pasado avanzamos con autorizaciones de construcción, planificación, movimiento de tierra, muros de retención, muros perimetrales, tanque de agua entre otros. Y a principios de este año gracias a Dios iniciamos con la construcción principal. Agradecemos sus oraciones por este proyecto.

It is a great privilege to end this year with the installation of stoves for the masons who have been doing such hard work in the construction of the medical center. In this way we want to wish them a Merry Christmas.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, we enjoyed it next to the elderly of the program with chicken soup, “Christmas baskets”, gifts, games, and songs; we all laughed out loud.

We live very grateful to God for his fidelity and provision for this beautiful program that benefits 15 older adults (widows and the elderly) who do not always cover their basic needs.

Many thanks to each one of you who in some way support this ministry.

Our wish is that in these holidays you can share in a big way with your families and the peace of God reigns in your homes.

El día de ayer fue un hermoso día, lo disfrutamos al lado de los ancianos del programa con caldo de gallina, canastas navideñas, regalos, dinámicas, y cantos; todos nos reímos a carcajadas.

Vivimos muy agradecidos con dios por su fidelidad y provisión para este lindo programa que beneficia a 15 adultos mayores (viudas y ancianos) que no siempre cuentan con las necesidades básicas.

Muchas gracias a cada uno de ustedes que de alguna manera apoyan este ministerio.

Nuestro deseo es que en estas fiestas puedan compartir a lo grande con sus familias y La Paz De Dios reine en sus hogares.

We are so happy and excited because tomorrow we will be celebrating Christmas with the elderly of our program.

We are already preparing the “Christmas baskets” for each one of them, and a program of funny activities, we want to make them feel loved and appreciated.

Estamos tan emocionados y felices, ya que el día de mañana estaremos celebrando la navidad con los ancianos de nuestro programa.

Ya estamos con los preparativos de las canastas navideñas para cada uno y así mismo con un programa de actividades con el cual queremos hacer sentir amados y apreciados a nuestras hermanas y hermanos de la tercera edad.

Muchas gracias a todos quienes de alguna forma nos apoyan, para poder realizar este tipo de actividades, en donde nuestro objetivo principal es glorificar a Dios por medio del servicio al prójimo.

We thank God and the people who had a big heart to collaborate with us and thus be able to carry out the "Vacation Bible Schools" in the communities of: Pamuc where 191 children were cared for, San Lucas with 70 children, Pancaseub with 131 children. With a total of 392 children by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. In December we will be attending 80 children in the community of Chicushab and also we are planning to do the two hospitals, one in Cobán and the other one in San Cristóbal.

Agradecemos a Dios y a las personas que tuvieron un gran corazón para colaborar con nosotros y así poder llevar a cabo Las “Escuelas Bíblicas de Vacaciones” en las comunidades de: Pamuc donde se atendieron a 191 niños, San Lucas con 70 niños, Pancaseub con 131 niños. Con un total de 392 niños por la gracia de nuestro señor Jesucristo. En diciembre estaremos atendiendo a 80 niños en la comunidad de Chicushab y también estamos planeando llevar a cabo la actividad en los hospitales de Cobán y San Cristóbal.

We want to thank our sisters and brothers from Faro de Luz for successfully completing another mission in Guatemala; we visited the community of Quixalito, where we had the privilege of installing ten ecological stoves, delivering water filters and bags of food to the widows. We also had a medical clinic day, where most of the people in the community were treated and medicine was given to them. Thank you Faro de luz, and thank you to the local doctors and volunteers for your sacrifice and support to make all this possible, it was a blessing to have you back in our country serving one of our beloved communities.

Queremos agradecer a nuestras hermanas y hermanos de Faro de Luz por haber completado exitosamente una misión más en Guatemala; visitamos la comunidad de Quixalito, donde tuvimos el privilegio de instalar diez estufas mejoradas, entregar filtros de agua y bolsas de víveres a las viudas. También tuvimos un día de clínica médica, donde se atendió a la mayoría de personas de la comunidad y se les entregó medicina. Gracias Faro de luz y gracias a los doctores y voluntarios locales por su sacrificio y apoyo para hacer todo esto posible, fue una bendición tenerlos nuevamente en nuestro país sirviendo a una de nuestras queridas comunidades.

Last weekend we had the privilege of distributing water purifiers and ecological stoves to the families of Quixalito, San Cristóbal Verapaz. Thanks to the support of our brothers and sisters from Faro de Luz, who will soon come to bless widows and the elderly with food, medical clinics and a Bible school for the children of this remote community.

We ask for your prayers for this our next project.

El pasado fin de semana tuvimos nuevamente el privilegio de repartir purificadores de agua y estufas ecológicas a las familias de Quixalito, San Cristóbal Verapaz. Gracias al apoyo de nuestras hermanas y hermanos de Faro de Luz, quienes pronto vendrán a bendecir a viudas y ancianos con alimentos, jornada médica y una escuela bíblica para los niños de esta remota comunidad.

Pedimos sus oraciones para este nuestro siguiente proyecto.

Last week we visited some of the families of Quixalito community. The aim was to coordinating the delivery of 10 improved stoves and water purifiers from the preventive health program. Since most of the people in this community cook on an open fire, exposing themselves to respiratory diseases.
We thank God for the team that will soon be arriving in our country with the purpose of supporting the families that are in dire need.

Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)

La semana pasada visitamos algunas de las familias de la comunidad Quixalito con el objetivo de coordinar la entrega de 10 estufas mejoradas y purificadores de agua, a través del programa de salud preventiva, ya que la mayoría de las personas de esta comunidad cocinan a fuego abierto, exponiéndose a enfermedades respiratorias.
Damos gracias a Dios por el equipo que pronto estará llegando a nuestro país con el propósito de apoyar a las familias que más lo necesitan.

We want to share with you that we have welcomed a new patient to our nutrition program. His family is from one of the remote communities of Cunén and to visit them we had to travel several hours. During the visit they were given a special nipple, some formula, and the family was trained on how to properly feed the baby. We are grateful to God for His provision and for the opportunity He gives us to serve our Guatemalan brothers and sisters, and we also give thank to Sharing the Journey International for their support of this program.

Queremos compartirles que le hemos dado la bienvenida a un nuevo paciente a nuestro programa de nutrición. Su familia es originaria de una de las comunidades remotas de cunén y para poder visitarlos tuvimos que viajar varias horas. Durante la visita se les hizo entrega de un mamón especial, formula y se capacitó a la familia para que puedan alimentar adecuadamente al bebé. Estamos agradecidos con Dios por su provisión y por la oportunidad que nos da de servir a nuestros hermanos y hermanas guatemaltecas, también agradecemos a Sharing the journey international por su apoyo a este programa.

Once again we had the honor of visiting some of our brothers and sisters of the elderly program, we went to different villages: Chicar, Las Pacayas and Chipozo, and thanks to the support of the Windham family we were able to bless them with some bags of groceries. We also visited some children that were part of the nutrition program a few years ago.
All the glory to God who puts both: the will and the doing, for his good will. We spent some beautiful moments with the elderly and we were able to share with them the love of Jesus.

Una vez más tuvimos el honor de visitar algunos de nuestros hermanos y hermanas del programa de ancianos, fuimos a diferentes aldeas: Chicar, Las Pacayas y Chipozo y gracias al apoyo de la familia Windham pudimos bendecirlos con bolsas de víveres y visitar a algunos niños formaron parte del programan de nutrición hace algunos años. Toda la gloria sea para Dios quien pone tanto el querer como el hacer, por su buena voluntad. Tuvimos un lindo tiempo con los ancianos y pudimos compartir con ellos el amor de Jesús.

Cooking on the ground or over an open fire, unfortunately, is often the only option for many low-income families in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. As a consequence of this problem, these people are more prone to respiratory diseases due to constant smoke inhalation, in order to reduce this issue, AVIS has a Preventive Health program, which provides improved stoves and water filters to some of these families.
We thank God and each one of the foreign and local volunteers who supported this program to improve the quality of life of some of our sisters and brothers in Guatemala.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. (Proverbs 3:27)

Cocinar en el suelo o a fuego abierto, lamentablemente, es la única forma de cocinar para muchas familias de escasos recursos en Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. A causa de este problema, estas personas están propensas a enfermedades respiratorias debido a la constante inhalación de humo, con el fin de reducir esta problemática, AVIS tiene un programa de Salud Preventiva, el cual provee de estufas mejoradas y purificadores de agua a algunas de estas familias.
Agradecemos a Dios y a cada uno de los voluntarios extranjeros y locales que nos apoyaron este programa mejorando la calidad de vida de algunos de nuestros hermanas y hermanas de Guatemala.

With joy in our heart we want to present our first group of children who were part of our nutrition program seven years ago. After going through the nutritional process, we coordinated for them to undergo surgery, for which we are very grateful to God and to our our friends from Sharing the Journey for their great support to this program, which every year benefits many children in Guatemala. This program has allowed us to visit the most remote communities of Alta Verapaz. It has not been an easy task, but the result has been worth it; we are in a state of bliss to see these children grow up and lead a blessed life in society.

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10

Nos llena de alegría presentarles al primer grupo de niños que formó parte de nuestro programa de nutrición hace siete años, después de pasar por el proceso nutritivo, se coordino para que fueran intervenidos quirúrgicamente, por lo cual, estamos muy agradecidos con Dios y con nuestros amigos de Sharing the Journey por su gran apoyo a este programa, el cual, año con año beneficia a muchos niños de Guatemala. Este programa nos ha permitido hacer visitas domiciliarias en las comunidades más remotas de Alta Verapaz. No ha sido una tarea fácil, pero el resultado ha valido la pena; sentimos una dicha total al ver a estos niños crecer y llevar una vida bendecida en la sociedad.

Porque Dios no es injusto para olvidar vuestra obra y el trabajo de amor que habéis mostrado hacia su nombre, habiendo servido a los santos y sirviéndoles aún. Hebreos 6:10
