Living to Serve is a Christian nonprofit organization that works with foreign and local volunteers to improve the health and social development of low-income families in remote communities of Guatemala, with the goal of Glorify God by Serving Others.

Each workday represents a firm step toward the realization of this dream, and it fills us with great hope to see how the project is taking shape, showing significant changes that reflect the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.This center is being built with a clear purpose: to provide quality medical care to people who currently suffer from various illnesses and have no access to hospital services. 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠!Don Cristóbal has been blind for 30 years and cannot work, while Doña Porfiria occasionally does agricultural work to earn some income. Their children support them to a limited extent, but they are unable to meet all their needs, leaving them in unfavorable conditions. Don Cristóbal is 86 years old and Doña Porfiria is 85 years old, and they live in a rural community about an hour from San Cristóbal, A.V., on a property owned by their daughter. They lack basic services such as water, electricity, and sewage.During the first visit, they expressed concern, but since joining the program and receiving their food bag, they have shown joy and peace of mind. Don Cristóbal even manages to get up to talk and sing praises, thanking God for what they receive.They are happy to have been included in our program, as they can now participate in the scheduled activities. Additionally, they mention that the food they receive lasts them for a month. Without this support, it is likely they would have suffered from illness or malnutrition, as they do not receive community support, and their children are unable to assist them.We would like to extend a special thanks to Advance Community for their valuable support to this program and to all the people who contribute to making this assistance possible. This activity represents a valuable opportunity to share the good news of salvation and deliver a food bag prepared with dedication and love.
